Dear Friends, It is my great pleasure to announce the twentieth season of Musical Masterworks. I loved every moment of my first season as Artistic Director of MM this past year, and am even more excited to be returning for another five programs of chamber music masterpieces with dear colleagues. As always, I will be joined by a collection of world-class musicians, many of whom you have heard before, and several who will be making their Old Lyme debut. The most familiar face of all, of course, is that of our beloved Charles Wadsworth, who will join us in December to perform Schubert’s epic and divine f minor Fantasie for Piano, Four Hands with pianist Jeewon Park. Each of the five programs is designed to take on a life of its own, as we combine cherished mainstays of the chamber music literature with some truly obscure treasures. If nothing else, I can promise you that we will all play our hearts out in this most magical of concert venues. I look forward to seeing you throughout the season. Sincerely, Edward Arron
