Triton Bass dazzles students during Musical Masterworks Outreach Program

11/17/17

What a spectacular week of music by Triton Brass last week as they delighted students in New London and Norwich schools!  As part of Musical Masterworks’ Outreach program this year, we hosted two instrument petting zoos where students had the chance to try out different instruments with Triton Brass.  Virtuosity Musical Instruments in Boston provided the instruments free of charge.

The smiles on the children’s faces at BP Learned School tell how excited they were about the experience. Pam Allen Hunter, who coordinates Musical Masterworks Outreach program, remarked, “Triton Brass is an absolutely fantastic outreach ensemble.  They are first-rate musicians and the quintet is top-notch.  But they way they relate to kids is just as impressive.  They performed for students ages 2-15, from preschoolers to junior high school students, dazzling the kids with their artistry, and giving them a glimpse into the life of a professional musician.”

We are sure that many students were inspired and motivated to expand their own musical horizons because of this experience.
