Concertgoers were treated to a program of delights, as we celebrated the return of Musical Masterworks perennial favorite artists, violinist Tessa Lark and pianist Jeewon Park, along with an encore appearance by the extraordinary violist Ettore Causa, and the much-anticipated Musical Masterworks debut of double bassist Michael Thurber. With artistic director and cellist Edward Arron, they performed Schubert’s iconic and beloved “Trout” Quintet. Those in attendance were also treated to a collection of original bluegrass- and jazz-inspired duos for violin and bass composed and performed by Tessa Lark and Michael Thurber. The program also included the impassioned Piano Quartet in a minor by the Spanish composer Joaquin Turina, and an arrangement for violin, cello and bass of the exquisite g minor Viola da Gamba Sonata by J.S.
