Our February performances provided a very special opportunity to hear the complete works for piano and cello by Ludwig von Beethoven, performed by our favorite duo, EdwardArron and Jeewon Park.  Ed and Jeewon took us on a fascinating musical journey that covered the arc of Beethoven’s career.  This bold break in tradition included three charming sets of variations and five monumental sonatas.

This concert was dedicated to the memory of Margaretta “Happy” Fitler Rockefeller by the Murphy Family.

Praised for her “deeply reflective playing” (Indianapolis Star) and “infectious exuberance” (New York Times), Korean-born pianist Jeewon Park has garnered the attention of audiences for her dazzling technique and poetic lyricism.

Cellist Edward Arron has garnered recognition worldwide for his elegant musicianship, impassioned performances, and creative programming. A native of Cincinnati, Ohio, Mr. Arron made his New York recital debut in 2000 at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
