Enjoy a reboot of our 32nd Season and Tessa Lark’s first as our Artistic Director.

Our first three concert weekends featured artists that were brand new to Musical Masterworks, though they are already legends in their own right: pianist Inon Barnatan, violist Ayane Kozasa, and cellist Gabriel Cabezas joined Tessa Lark for our opening concerts; and in December cellist Joshua Roman made his MM debut.

Polymath Edgar Meyer’s astounding bass playing and composing were the inspiration behind our December shows; in February Charles Overton, Alex Sopp and Michael Thurber shared their instrumental talents, genre-bending compositional feats and infectious collaborative genius, creating new music together on the spot.

Traditional gems from music’s golden era were ever-present amidst newer excursions; Bach, Brahms, Dvorak, and Debussy who made hefty appearances during Season 32, which finished off with two weekends filled with glorious music made by folks Musical Masterworks calls family: Jeewon Park, who joined Tessa for a recital in March, and our dear Ed Arron who made his triumphant return with the extraordinary Ehnes Quartet for our closing concerts.
