What can I do about my March and May 2020 concert tickets?

04/03/20

Like so many arts organizations throughout the nation and across the world right now, Musical Masterworks is in the unimaginable situation of having to cancel the remainder of our 2020 season due to the Coronavirus outbreak. This, of course, is particularly heartbreaking because it means that the incredible programming of the Complete Cycle of Beethoven’s String Quartets cannot occur, the March and May programming that we worked so hard to produce and that so many supported so passionately and anticipated so eagerly.

While this saddens us all, we want to reassure you that we are more determined than ever to come back in Season 30 with a strong and jubilant season–one that says that music is still here, that performances of live music do still matter, perhaps more than ever   now. I look forward to being back in touch with you to announce our Season 30 programming and dates.

In the meantime, we wish you health and patience during these unprecedented times.  I know that appreciation for the arts will be even more evident once we return from our homes and l Iook forward to welcoming you back to the beautiful First Congregational Church of Old Lyme in the fall.

Ticket holders for the March and May 2020 cancelled concerts have two options:

 1) Donate back the proceeds of your purchased tickets. Musical Masterworks, like so many other arts and nonprofit organizations, depends on these proceeds for ongoing operations/expenses. We would be deeply appreciative of this gift, for which we’ll send an acknowledgment/receipt for your records.

2) Receive a full refund. If paid by credit card, proceeds will be credited to your card. Otherwise, a refund check will be sent to you via mail.

Kindly let us know by April 30 which option above (#1 or #2) you prefer, and we’ll take care of the rest!  You can do so by replying to this email, calling us at (860) 434-2252, or by emailing: admin@musicalmasterworks.org.

NOTE: Our Beethoven Lecture scheduled for April 26 has also been cancelled.

Thanks so much for your ongoing support of Musical Masterworks and we look forward to seeing you next season!

Warmly,

Alden Murphy, President, Musical Masterworks
