GREETINGS FROM ARTISTIC DIRECTOR TESSA LARK

Season 36 begins during America’s 250th anniversary of our Declaration of Independence, so we are celebrating and exploring the diverse sounds of American music. What makes a piece of music sound “American”? I imagine there are probably as many answers to that question as there are people to ask. Is it jazz, bluegrass, gospel, or Indigenous music? Is it Copland, Gershwin, John Williams, or Dvořák? My hope this season is to highlight how America’s uniquely rich cultural history is wholly embodied in its wonderfully varied musical output.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is the best GPS driving address?

Please be sure to select the 4 Lyme Street address in OLD LYME or else you will end up at the wrong location in a different town. The crossroads for the First Congregational Church of Old Lyme are Lyme Street and Ferry Road.

Can I buy tickets at the door?

Yes, provided there is capacity to accomodate more guests.

Do you take credit cards?

Yes! We take credit cards online, over the phone and at the door.

Is there reserved seating?

There is no reserved seating, our seating is general admission. We recommend that you arrive a half hour before the start of the concert to reserve your seat. However, if you are a donor to Musical Masterworks at a level of $5,000 or greater, your support does include preferred seating.
